Summer staff will be paid at their regular rate of pay PLUS a 30% pay increase for summer hours!

We are pleased to announce that we are seeking qualified applicants for temporary Instructional Assistants for our Elementary Summer Camp held at Tom McCall and Sage Elementary Schools. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team that supports the efforts of making success possible for all Redmond students. 

Individuals selected will work to support the general camp site location with administrative assistant duties, individuals and/or groups of K-5th grade students attending Summer Camp and certified teachers. Instructional Assistants will be under the direction of licensed educators supporting students in activities and lessons designed to develop Growth Mindset, STEAM learning, and successful learner skills in preparation for success in the 2022-23 school year.

Timeframe:

• July 29: 9:00 am (6 hours)
• August 1-18: 6.5 hours 
• Summer school will run four days a week Monday through Thursday 
• Student Day: ~9:00 a.m. – 2:50 p.m. 
• Instructional Assistant Day: ~8:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. 
• Week 1: Aug. 1-4, Week 2: Aug. 8-11, Week 3: Aug. 15-18
• Additional Camp Duties: 3 additional hours at the end of camp for cleanup and organization. 

 Qualified candidates will have the following minimum qualifications:  

• Hold a current IA position within the Redmond School District (K-12 grades)
• Experience building relationships with youth.
• Commit to continuous professional growth.
• Passionate for working with elementary age children.
