JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the school Principal and Assistant Director of English Language Development, the Newcomer Support Instructional Assistant has a variety of responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to helping newcomer students and their families feel welcome in their school environments, teaching newcomer students and their families how to navigate the academic and community systems in the school/district, and working directly with newcomer students, their families, and instructors to facilitate access to academic learning programs
